Budgetary Participation in a Public Service Organization [PDF]
In this study the phenomenon of budgetary participation is analyzed. The theories in budgetary participation are described and elaborated. This is a case study and the case is a public service organization, namely the Post Office in Sweden. Empirically two specific research questions are focused.

This study examines the role of group value element of procedural fairness in explaining how individuals take into account fairness conditions in making judgment regarding budgeting process. Furthermore, the study extends prior research in procedural fairness by observing the individual behavior in a stretch budget condition.
