Dataset on Brazilian Participatory Budgeting: 1989 to 2012

open access: yes
The Brazilian Participatory Budgeting (PB) Census is a data set that Participedia contributor Paolo Spada began collecting in 2008. It integrates and updates previous data collection efforts by Ribeiro & De Grazia (1997-2002) and Avritzer & Wampler (2004)

Amorphous IGZO, Crystalline IGO, Amorphous IGZO Triple Active Layer With 2D Electron Gas at Both Interfaces for High Performance TFTs

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The dual‐gate coplanar a‐IGZO/C‐IGO/a‐IGZO TFT is investigated, exhibiting a high filed‐effect mobility of 53.81 cm2 V−1s−1 with excellent stability. The amorphous IGZO layer provides smooth surface, which carrier scattering and high‐quality interface between gate insulator and active layer.

Budget, Budgeting and Budgetary Control

open access: yes, 2013
Budget, budgeting and budgetary control are managerial tools for controlling economic transactions and other resources within an organisation. Basically, these terms were used by a government or a governing body for a nation’s financial planning. Similarly, these concepts- were used by monarchs and rulers of different countries in past for their ...

Microscale 3D‐Printed Digital Strain Switches for Embedded Mechanical Computation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Microscale 3D‐printed strain switches on flexible films convert deformation into native digital signals at geometry defined thresholds. A closed form model predicts switching from 3000 to 15 000 microstrain and is validated across 110 devices. Reliable ohmic closure and strain activated AND, OR, and XOR logic point toward low‐power mechanical ...

Conductive Tin Oxide Under the Thermal Budget of Perovskite/TOPCon Tandems: Toward Indium‐Free Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that achieving conductive undoped SnOx contacts required careful tailoring of oxygen vacancy (VO) tuning and defect engineering. Controlling oxygen deposition pressure and low‐temperature annealing (300°C) optimizes defect stoichiometry and mitigates carrier scattering. This low thermal budget approach significantly enhances Hall

Photoluminescent Color Centers on a Mainstream Silicon Photonic Foundry Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Silicon photonic chips route and process light efficiently but are inherently inefficient at generating it. Here, bright light‐emitting defects, W‐centers, are written into the silicon layer of finished chips from a mainstream commercial foundry: high‐energy ions are implanted straight through the protective oxide and activated by a 250∘C$^\circ{\rm C}$
