The Budgetary Repercussions of Capital Convictions [PDF]

open access: yes
Control of public spending and revenues is increasingly being left to states and localities. In order to understand the consequences of such a movement on the distribution of social spending, it is necessary to understand how fiscal distress will affect ...

INB3P: A Multi‐Modal and Interpretable Co‐Attention Framework Integrating Property‐Aware Explanations and Memory‐Bank Contrastive Fusion for Blood–Brain Barrier Penetrating Peptide Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
INB3P is a multimodal framework for blood–brain barrier‐penetrating peptide prediction under extreme data scarcity and class imbalance. By combining physicochemical‐guided augmentation, sequence–structure co‐attention, and imbalance‐aware optimization, it improves predictive performance and interpretability.

Income and expenditure of households in Romania1 [PDF]

open access: yes
Consumers act in housing in a way that disposable income is allocated to current consumption or for savings and future consumer needs. In many countries, household consumption is studied by analyzing family budgets. Household income is the main source of

Ethical Precision in Nanoscale Brain Interfacing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As brain interfaces approach the nanoscale, precision no longer only measures—it knows, predicts, and potentially reshapes the mind. This work argues that traditional ethics fails under such conditions and proposes a shift toward continuous, operation‐based governance using the recovery–discovery framework to track, constrain, and responsibly steer ...

Fabrication of High‐Density Multimodal Neural Probes Based on Heterogeneously Integrated CMOS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A chiplet‐based methodology democratizes active neural probe development on standard bulk CMOS services. This yields the first probe combining high‐density electrophysiology (416 electrodes) with calcium imaging (832 photodiodes) and complete on‐chip signal processing across 13 shanks.

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Efficient Screening of Organic Singlet Fission Molecules Using Graph Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐throughput screening framework based on graph neural networks (GNNs) and multi‐level validation facilitates the identification of singlet fission (SF) candidates. By efficiently predicting excitation energies across 20 million molecules, and integrating TDDFT calculations, synthetic accessibility assessments, and GW+BSE calculations, this ...
