Characterisation of Sex Pheromone and Genetic Strain in Rachiplusia nu (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) Populations Across Brazil

open access: yesJournal of Applied Entomology, Volume 150, Issue 6, Page 791-802, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Rachiplusia nu, known as the sunflower looper (SFL) and belonging to the Plusiinae subfamily, is a major defoliator of soybeans, sunflowers and other horticultural crops across southern South America. Validation of Risk Models for Predicting Post‐SVR HCC in Real‐World Surveillance Across Global Geographic Regions

open access: yesLiver International, Volume 46, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background & Aims Several clinical risk models have been proposed to stratify hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) risk in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) after sustained virologic response (SVR). However, validation efforts have focused on monocentric or country‐specific cohorts, and it is unclear if clinical risk models can be ...

Comparison of Repetition‐Based Progressive‐Overload Strategies in Resistance Training: Rest‐Pause Versus Drop Sets

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Medicine &Science in Sports, Volume 36, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Rest‐pause (RP) and drop sets (DS) are widely used as intensification strategies during resistance training. However, their incorporation within a repetition‐based progressive‐overload (PO) model and their effects under supervised conditions are not well established. We compared progressive‐overload rest‐pause (PO‐RP) with progressive‐overload

Ground‐ and Excited‐State Mixed Valency in a 4,4′‐Bipyridine‐Bridged Bimetallic Di‐Ruthenium Complex

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 16, 4 June 2026.
Photoinduced mixed‐valence interactions across a 4,4′‐bpy bridge were studied. MLCT excited states in the bimetallic complex are longer‐lived than in the monometallic reference, thanks to metal–metal electronic coupling and hole delocalization, but are still shorter than the nanosecond timescale relevant for diffusional reactivity.

Whole‐Body Pattern of Muscle Degeneration and Progression in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 13, Issue 6, Page 1129-1140, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To characterize whole‐body intramuscular fat distribution pattern in patients with sarcoglycanopathies and explore correlations with disease severity, duration and age at onset. Methods Retrospective, cross‐sectional, multicentric study enrolling patients with variants in one of the four sarcoglycan genes who underwent whole‐body ...

Factors linked to informal caregiver burden in dementia across Latin America and the Caribbean: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Informal caregivers are central to dementia care in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), yet determinants of caregiver burden remain insufficiently characterized. We conducted a systematic review and meta‐analysis of studies examining patient‐ and caregiver‐related correlates of burden in LAC.
