A Lizard Predation Experiment Demonstrates Batesian Ant Mimicry in Camponotus lateralis
Adaptiveness of ant mimicry was tested in an experimental terrarium with eight glass bowls with three ants each using lizards as real predators (dotted lines show holes; full lines show barriers). Bowls 1, 2, 7, and 8 were stocked with inaccurate and accurate mimics, Bowls 3–6 with the model.

Amphibians are an important but vulnerable component of biodiversity. Climatic changes and anthropogenic transformation of the environment can lead to changes in spawning times and habitat boundaries, causing adverse genetic processes in populations.

Behavior and mortality of anurans on roads in the Australian tropics
Roads are a major source of mortality for wildlife, particularly amphibians. Identifying vulnerable species and understanding any behavioral predictors of mortality helps us understand vulnerability to traffic and can inform management strategies. We investigated a 9‐species anuran community in tropical Australia with respect to 3 behavioral responses ...

Method for obtaining Chromosomes Method for obtaining Chromosomes
It is very easy to obtain chromosomes from anuran amphibians.Amphibians have very large chromosomes which can easily be seen with an ordinary microscope. The method used has been tested in the laboratory and also at collecting sites. All that is required

We evaluated the impacts of grazing, climatic variability, and vegetation productivity on the population dynamics of a northern Great Plains greater sage‐grouse population. We found winter temperature influenced annual population growth rates, but did not detect influences of drought, breeding season weather, vegetation productivity or short‐term ...
