The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Constructing the Hyper-Kamiokande Computing Model in the Build Up to Data Taking
Hyper-Kamiokande is a next-generation multi-purpose neutrino experiment with a primary focus on constraining CP-violation in the lepton sector. It features a diverse science programme that includes neutrino oscillation studies, astrophysics, neutrino cross-section measurements, and searches for physics beyond the standard model, such as proton decay ...

We show how with the help of nonlinear paired regression, namely cubic regression, having experimental data, it is possible to investigate the relationship of tangential stresses between different layers of a cylindrical part during build-up. Six pairs of dependencies (models) between tangential stresses are considered.

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Building Up a Tribe: Constructing Entrepreneurial Identity Through Discourses in Higher Education
This article explores how entrepreneurial culture is constructed in a university setting through the discursive practices of students engaged in entrepreneurship communities. Drawing on discourse analysis and a theoretical framework that integrates identity theory, organizational culture (Schein), communities of practice (Wenger) and symbolic ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...
