Stephan's problem of a freezing front propagation inside a multilayer objects is discussed. For to solve this problem in practice numerical methods are used to integrate moisture and heat transfer equations while calculation of the current frost pane's coordinate inside external multilayer building envelopes whose surfaces' temperatures are measured ...

The inspection of an office building will not differ materially from those which are carried out to residential or other smaller properties. It will still be necessary to determine the condition of the building and to analyse the full extent of any defects. The main variation between the residential and the commercial survey will be in the report which

Ontologies for observations and actuations in buildings: A survey
Semantic Web, 2020Spaces and elements in the built environment have emerged as platforms where materializations of observations and actuations promise to be very profitable. The advent of the Internet of Things (IoT) paves the way to address this challenge but the heterogeneity of the represented knowledge about these artifact systems poses a real problem.

Detailed Energy Surveys of Nondomestic Buildings
Environment and Planning B: Planning and Design, 2000This paper gives a summary of the fundamental features of the methods used to collect and record information on energy use in nondomestic buildings. The influence on these methods of the essential data requirements for creating a national database of energy use in the UK nondomestic building stock is described.

Survey of a Laboratory Building for Airborne Antibiotics
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1971Antibiotics are routinely examined by laboratory analysis in a six-story building which houses the laboratories of the National Center for Antibiotics and Insulin Analysis (NCAIA) on the second floor. A survey was performed to determine if antibiotic dust was being disseminated throughout the building.

Building Survey at Phippsfield
An historic building investigation was undertaken in advance of proposed redevelopment of Phippsfield Cottage, Kildary, Invergordon, Highland. A full written description was made of the building together with a photographic record. Drawings were made of the north and south elevations. Archive and cartographic research were carried out on the history ofWilson, Graeme, Moore, Hazel
