Key Trends and Insights in Smart Polymeric Skin Wearable Patches
Intelligent polymers, which respond to various physical and biological stimuli, are explored for the development of skin wearable patches in biomedical applications. Smart polymers, also known as intelligent or stimuli‐responsive polymers, play a crucial role in the development of advanced wearable patches due to their versatility and softness.

This study introduces a conductive nerve guidance conduit integrated with wireless electrical stimulation through alternating magnetic fields, which induces currents and creates a supportive microenvironment for nerve regeneration. In vivo studies show that this approach significantly enhanced myelin restoration, gastrocnemius muscle regeneration ...

Lights Illuminate Surfaces Superluminally [PDF]
When a light bulb is turned on, light moves away from it at speed $c$, by definition. When light from this bulb illuminates a surface, however, this illumination front is not constrained to move at speed $c$. A simple proof is given that this illumination front always moves {\it faster} than $c$. Generalized, when any compact light source itself varies,

Wearable Haptic Feedback Interfaces for Augmenting Human Touch
The wearable haptic feedback interfaces enhance user experience in gaming, social media, biomedical instrumentation, and robotics by generating tactile sensations. This review discusses and categorizes current haptic feedback interfaces into force, thermal, and electrotactile stimulation‐based haptic feedback interfaces, elucidating their current ...

Light bulb smoothing for topological surfaces in 4-manifolds [PDF]
We present new smoothing techniques for topologically embedded surfaces in smooth 4-manifolds, which give topological isotopy to a smooth surface. As applications, we prove "topological = smooth" results in dimension 4 for certain disks and spheres modulo isotopy.

A novel stratum corneum‐inspired zwitterionic hydrogel is developed for intelligent, flexible sensors, featuring intrinsic water retention and anti‐freezing properties. The quasi‐gel, composed of hygroscopic polymers and bound water, maintains its softness across a wide range of humidity.

Berlekamp's Switching Game on Finite Projective and Affine Planes [PDF]
I adapt Berlekamp's light bulb switching game to finite projective plans and finite affine planes, then find the worst arrangement of lit bulbs for planes of even and odd orders. The results are then extended from the planes to spaces of higher dimension.

In this article, a water‐evaporation driven energy harvester is devised that works even in the absence of sunlight. This is achieved by combining PVA hydrogel with thermoelectrics (TEG) to directly capture energy from water evaporation. Under mild conditions (RH 40%, T of 26 °C, and 2.8 m s−1 wind), 1.71 mW (1.02 W m−2) power can be generated, >3 fold ...
