Boxy/peanut bulges are believed to originate from galactic discs through secular processes. A little explored question is how this evolution would be modified if the initial disc was assembled around a preexisting classical bulge.

Scalable Conversion of Superhydrophobic Surfaces to Salvinia Surfaces
This article reports a scalable method to convert superhydrophobic surfaces into Salvinia surfaces by selectively coating polydopamine on the top surfaces of microstructures. The success is enabled by overcoming a previously unrecognized barrier unique to polydopamine coating on superhydrophobic surfaces.

Printed Interconnects for Heterogeneous Systems Integration on Flexible Substrates
Key components (sensors, energy devices, communication devices, computing chips, and interconnects) of flexible hybrid electronic (FHE) system connected via conductive printed metal tracks. The figure in the insets shows out‐of‐plane printed interconnects providing opportunities for lithography‐free formation of VIAs, in‐plane access of UTCs pads, and ...

Towards the big picture of the Milky Way bulge
Evidence has been growing in the last few years that the Bulge is very complex, with maybe two or more components partially overlapping in space, kinematics and metallicity. An extensive mapping of these properties is necessary to disentangle them.
