Data is generated from finite element simulations and an encoding using a Moore domain. The data is then used to train a meta‐model to predict the soft unit's deformation state depending on its chamber shape and properties as well as the surrounding environment.

Chemical evolution of the bulge of M31: predictions about abundance ratios
We aim at reproducing the chemical evolution of the bulge of M31 by means of a detailed chemical evolution model, including radial gas flows coming from the disk.

Formation of Galactic Pseudo-bulges via Gas Rich Major Mergers [PDF]
It is widely accepted that within the framework of LCDM a significant fraction of giant-disk galaxies has recently experienced a violent galactic merger. We present numerical simulations of such major mergers of gas-rich pure disk galaxies, and focus on the innermost stellar component (bulge) of the disk remnants.

Two SOX11 variants cause Coffin–Siris syndrome with a new feature of sensorineural hearing loss
Abstract Coffin‐Siris syndrome (CSS, OMIM#135900) is a rare congenital disorder associated with neurodevelopmental and dysmorphic features. The primary cause of CSS is pathogenic variants in any of 9 BAF chromatin‐remodeling complex encoding genes or the genes SOX11 and PHF6. Herein, we performed whole‐exome sequencing (WES) and a series of analyses of

Towards the big picture of the Milky Way bulge
Evidence has been growing in the last few years that the Bulge is very complex, with maybe two or more components partially overlapping in space, kinematics and metallicity. An extensive mapping of these properties is necessary to disentangle them.

Made-to-Measure models of the Galactic Box/Peanut bulge: stellar and total mass in the bulge region
We construct dynamical models of the Milky Way's Box/Peanut (B/P) bulge, using the recently measured 3D density of Red Clump Giants (RCGs) as well as kinematic data from the BRAVA survey.

Electrostatically Reinforced Double Network Granular Hydrogels
Electrostatically reinforced double network granular hydrogels (DNGHs) with cartilage‐like fracture energy are introduced. An empirical model predicts the composition‐dependent fracture energy based on dissipation zone size, contact area, and inter‐particle adhesion energy. Thanks to their granular structure and the inter‐particle attraction, the DNGHs

Chemodynamical history of the Galactic Bulge
The Galactic Bulge can uniquely be studied from large samples of individual stars, and is therefore of prime importance for understanding the stellar population structure of bulges in general.
