Bulk density of monodisperse materials
Refractories and Industrial Ceramics, 1997A cluster model is used to calculate the bulk density of monodisperse systems. The values calculated with the help of the model are consistent with the experimental data. the dependence obtained can be used to determine the properties of ceramic and composite materials.

Local-density-pseudofunction theory of bulk Si
Physical Review B, 1988The pseudofunction implementation of local-density theory for Si is shown to produce the accepted results: a bond length of 2.34 A, a bulk modulus of B/sub 0/ = 1.03 Mbar, a pressure derivative of the bulk modulus of dB/sub 0//dp = 3.44, and a band structure in agreement with previous calculations and many data.

Effects of Bulk Density on Sediment Erosion Rates
Water, Air, and Soil Pollution, 1997By means of a recently developed flume, sediment erosion rates as a function of shear stress and with depth in the sediments have previously been determined for relatively undisturbed sediments from several rivers and lakes. These experiments demonstrated that erosion rates depended on at least the following parameters: bulk density (or water content ...

Bulk Density and Compressibility
2017Hemp is made of highly deformable particles. Depending on the water content, on the particle size distribution, and on many other material parameters such as initial porosity and retting of the processed stalks, the mechanical behaviour of shiv in bulk can change significantly.

Consolidation-related bulk density and permeability models for bulk solids
Powder Technology, 1992Abstract This paper examines several consolidation-related bulk density and permeability models for bulk solids. Numbers of experiments have been performed to measure bulk density and permeability and, by using an optimization technique, the most suitable and accurate models for bulk density and permeability of bulk solids are identified.

Bulk density of powder materials
Glass and Ceramics, 1997Theoretical equations closely fitting the experimental data are proposed for calculating the bulk density of powder materials with allowance for the size and shape of cylindrical and tubular molds. These equations can be used to advantage in correcting the experimentally determined bulk density of fractionated powder materials and in engineering ...

Local Density Approach to Bulk and Surface Charge Densities
1980As is clear from some of the other lectures given at this Institute, the current popularity of energy band theory stems from its successful application to the study of increasingly diverse problems in solid state physics. Recent new sophisticated experiments on both traditional materials and those having complex crystallographic structures have ...
