Cooking Delicacy with Ice—Nanobubble Isolation Switches Stewing to ‘BBQ’

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2023
The key role of ice in cooking has been neglected. Here, we found negatively charged bulk nanobubbles (BNBs: average size ~60 nm and zeta potential

Cleaning with Bulk Nanobubbles

open access: yesLangmuir, 2016
The electrolysis of aqueous solutions produces solutions that are supersaturated in oxygen and hydrogen gas. This results in the formation of gas bubbles, including nanobubbles ∼100 nm in size that are stable for ∼24 h. These aqueous solutions containing bubbles have been evaluated for cleaning efficacy in the removal of model contaminants bovine serum

Characteristics of Ultrafine Bubbles (Bulk Nanobubbles) and Their Application to Particle-Related Technology

open access: yesKONA Powder and Particle Journal, 2023
Ultrafine bubbles (bulk nanobubbles), small bubbles with a diameter of less than 1 μm, have attracted academic and industrial attention because of their numerous advantages, including their chemical-free nature and extraordinarily long lifetime. The long

On Some Aspects of Nanobubble-Containing Systems

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2022
Theoretical studies are reviewed for bulk nanobubbles (ultrafine bubbles (UFBs)), which are gas bubbles smaller than 1 μm in diameter. The dynamic equilibrium model is discussed as a promising model for the stability of a UFB against dissolution; more ...

Clean production and characterization of nanobubbles using laser energy deposition

open access: yesUltrasonics Sonochemistry, 2023
We have demonstrated the production of laser bulk nanobubbles (BNB) with ambient radii typically below 500 nm. The gaseous nature of the nanometric objects was confirmed by a focused acoustic pulse that expands the gas cavities to a size that can be ...

Influence of bulk nanobubble concentration on the intensity of sonoluminescence

open access: yesUltrasonics Sonochemistry, 2021
The present study mainly examined the effects of the volumetric concentration of nanobubbles (ultrafine bubbles) on the intensity of sonoluminescence (SL). The addition of nanobubbles at high acoustic amplitude enhanced the SL intensity for various bubble concentrations in comparison with that in pure water.

Formation and coalescence of nanobubbles under controlled gas concentration and species

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
Using molecular dynamics simulations, the effects of gas concentration and species on the coalescence and growth of nanobubbles were systematically investigated.

From Bubbles to Nanobubbles

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
Nanobubbles are classified into surface and bulk. The main difference between them is that the former is immobile, whereas the latter is mobile. The existence of sNBs has already been proven by atomic force microscopy, but the existence of bNBs is still ...

Characterization and Determination of Nanoparticles in Commercial Processed Foods

open access: yesFoods, 2021
A wide variety of foods manufactured by nanotechnology are commercially available on the market and labeled as nanoproducts. However, it is challenging to determine the presence of nanoparticles (NPs) in complex food matrices and processed foods. In this

Nanobubble size distribution measurement by interactive force apparatus under an electric field

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Nanobubbles have been applied in many fields, such as environmental cleaning, material production, agriculture, and medicine. However, the measured nanobubble sizes differed among the measurement methods, such as dynamic light scattering, particle ...
