Genetic influences on suicide attempt in adolescence: Evaluating mediation by impulsivity and painful and provocative events

Impulsivity and exposure to painful and provocative events each contribute to risk for suicide attempt. However, there is little support for the hypothesis that genetic influences on suicide attempt are mediated by impulsivity and painful and provocative event exposure in early adolescence.

Radiation Dose and Risk in the Radiological Investigation of Suspected Non‐Accidental Injury (NAI)

This study is a retrospective analysis of 362 skeletal surveys performed over a 5‐year period for children under 5 years of age for suspected non‐accidental injury. We present effective dose data and the associated risks of radiation exposure for initial and follow‐up examinations.

Development and Initial Evaluation of an In‐House Paediatric CT Immobilisation Device

Paediatric imaging often requires repeat scans due to motion artefacts, increasing radiation exposure and discomfort. This study developed a cost‐effective in‐house CT immobilisation device, which showed comparable image quality to commercial devices but highlighted the need for improvements in stability and infection control.
