Microfluidics is assumed to be one of the leading and most promising areas of research since the early 1990s. In microfluidic systems, small spherical magnetic particles with superparamagnetic properties, called magnetic beads, play an important role in ...

Venous bullet embolism is a rare complication of trauma. We describe a patient who sustained a gunshot wound. Computed tomography revealed antegrade embolization of the bullet to the right hepatic vein (RHV). The risk of not retrieving the bullet embolus

Rituximab: A Magic Bullet for Pemphigus.
INTRODUCTION Pemphigus, an autoimmune disease, was fatal before the era of corticosteroids. With the advent of steroids, mortality decreased but morbidity was present due to the side effects of high dose steroids.

Universal Deformation Rings for Complexes over Finite-Dimensional Algebras [PDF]
Let $\mathbf{k}$ be field of arbitrary characteristic and let $\Lambda$ be a finite dimensional $\mathbf{k}$-algebra. From results previously obtained by F.M Bleher and the author, it follows that if $V^\bullet$ is an object of the bounded derived category $\mathcal{D}^b(\Lambda\textup{-mod})$ of $\Lambda$, then $V^\bullet$ has a well-defined versal ...

Interactions of Computational Complexity Theory and Mathematics [PDF]
$ $[This paper is a (self contained) chapter in a new book, Mathematics and Computation, whose draft is available on my homepage at https://www.math.ias.edu/avi/book ]. We survey some concrete interaction areas between computational complexity theory and different fields of mathematics.

Non-Formality of $S^2$ via the free loop space [PDF]
We show that the $E_1$-equivalence $C^\bullet(S^2) \simeq H^\bullet(S^2)$ does not intertwine the inclusion of constant loops into the free loop space $S^2 \to LS^2$. That is, the isomorphism $HH_\bullet(H^\bullet(S^2)) \cong H^\bullet(LS^2)$ does not preserve the obvious maps to $H^\bullet(S^2)$ that exist on both sides.

A Coning Theory of Bullet Motions [PDF]
Each observable ballistic phenomenon of a spin-stabilized rifle bullet can be explained in terms of the acceleration of gravity and the total aerodynamic force acting on that bullet. In addition to the coning motion itself, Coning Theory explains the spinning bullet's aerodynamic jump and its steadily increasing yaw of repose together with its ...
