Imaging Appearance of Ballistic Wounds Predicts Bullet Composition: Implications for MRI Safety.
AJR. American journal of roentgenology, 2020OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this article was to determine whether the radiographic and CT appearance of ballistic projectiles predicts their composition and to characterize the translational, rotational, and temperature effects of a 1.5-T MRI magnetic ...

Talakat: bullet hell generation through constrained map-elites
Annual Conference on Genetic and Evolutionary Computation, 2018We describe a search-based approach to generating new levels for bullet hell games, which are action games characterized by and requiring avoidance of a very large amount of projectiles. Levels are represented using a domain-specific description language,

Biliptysis is a dramatic physical finding which suggests the presence of a direct communication (fistula) between the biliary and bronchial tree. We report a bronchial biliary fistula resulting from penetrating thoracoabdominal trauma and the use of positive-pressure ventilation to obtain initial fistula control prior to definitive surgical repair.

We report a case of a missile injury to the brain with an unusual complication. The bullet migrated by its mere weight to a distant location through the brain parenchyma after it initially lodged in a superficial site. Instances of similar phenomena reported in the literature are reviewed.

Many new types of expanding or fragmenting handgun ammunition have been developed. Knowledge of these unusual bullets may aid in the management of patients and their wounds.Eleven different expanding or fragmenting .45 caliber bullets and a nondeforming, full metal jacketed bullet for comparison were fired multiple times from the same handgun into both

Intravascular migratory bullets
The American Journal of Surgery, 1979The estimated course of a penetrating missile provides some clues to planning intraoperative priorities and management. However, missiles which become intravascular emboli present diagnostic and therapeutic dilemmas. Twenty-eight patients have been seen with bullet emboli. Five patients had emboli to the lungs, two of which were removed.

A case of autoerotic asphyxiation is presented. The incident demonstrates 12 of the 13 characteristics particular to autoerotic asphyxias. The elements of attire and bondage used are unique in comparison with previously reported cases. The addictive nature of this behavior is well demonstrated in the victim's sexual history.
