Efeito da temperatura e do fotoperíodo sobre o desenvolvimento do aparelho reprodutor de rã-touro (Rana catesbeiana Shaw, 1802) Effect of the temperature and the photoperiod on the development of bullfrog (Rana catesbeiana Shaw, 1802) reproduction apparel

Chaotic Dynamics Enhance the Sensitivity of Inner Ear Hair Cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Hair cells of the auditory and vestibular systems are capable of detecting sounds that induce sub-nanometer vibrations of the hair bundle, below the stochastic noise levels of the surrounding fluid.

Neural Influences on Bullfrog Renal Functions

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1980
AbstractThe present investigations suggest that α-adrenergic mechanisms may be involved in the control of glomerular and tubular functions of bullfrog kidneys. Hypothalamic lesions did not appreciably affect the antidiuretic response of bullfrogs to dehydration. Phenoxybenzamine reversed the antidiuresis in dehydrated intact bullfrogs.

Effect of bullfrog (Rana catesbeiana) oil administered by gavage on the fatty acid composition and oxidative stress of mouse liver

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Medical and Biological Research, 2004
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of daily intragastric administration of bullfrog oil (oleic, linoleic and palmitoleic acid-rich oil), corresponding to 0.4% of body weight for four weeks, on fatty acid composition and oxidative

Cyclic AMP modulation of ion transport across frog retinal pigment epithelium. Measurements in the short-circuit state. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
In the frog retinal pigment epithelium (RPE), the cellular levels of cyclic AMP (cAMP) were measured in control conditions and after treatment with substances that are known to inhibit phosphodiesterase (PDE) activity (isobutyl-1-methylxanthine, SQ65442)
