This chapter looks into the interplay between the famous Semyonov family and the Bunin clan. In the first volume of Pyotr Petrovich Semyonov-Tyan-Shansky's memoirs, Semyonov often talks about our Bunin clan, to which the Semyonovs are related, and particularly about Anna Petrovna Bunina.

Ivan Bunin: tri avtobiograficeskie zametki [PDF]
The article analyzes three autobiographies, that were written to order by Bunin in 1921, 1934 and 1952 and that were printed at the beginning of the collections of stories and Collected works, published in emigration. There Bunin describes himself as a antirevolutionary emigrant and as an acknowledged and actively publishing writer in emigration.
