Engineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.An innovative gusset plate connection, which acts as a rigid connection, was proposed and investigated parametrically and numerically. Also, the required equations to design the system were proposed. Results indicated that the gusset plate yields a ductile fuse while the beam and column remain elastic.
