A Cu‐based crystal‐glass composite with high‐density twins is identified by a fast screening technique using combinatorial sputtering together with XRD and nanoindentation mapping. This bamboo‐like structure demonstrates homogenous plastic flow and retains high strength during in situ high temperature tests, up to 1 GPa at 550°C, owing to those ...

Lie symmetry based-analytical and numerical approach for modified Burgers-KdV equation
In this work, the variable-coefficient modified Burgers-KdV equation, which arises in modeling various physical phenomena, is studied for exact and numerical solution based on Lie symmetry.

On stochastic differential equations and a generalised Burgers equation [PDF]
In this paper, we discuss a link of Itˆo’s stochastic differential equa- tions to nonlinear partial differential equations of Burgers type. Un- der certain conditions, we derive a generalised Burgers equation from a stochastic differential equation.

Ti6Al4V‐Bioglass‐Copper Composites for Load‐Bearing Implants
We have designed and manufactured a novel Ti64‐based composite by adding 45S5 bioglass (BG) and copper (Cu). Adding BG on titanium improves wear resistance and biocompatibility, whereas Cu addition improves mechanical strength while providing inherent lifelong bacterial resistance.

Odd surface waves in two-dimensional incompressible fluids
We consider free surface dynamics of a two-dimensional incompressible fluid with odd viscosity. The odd viscosity is a peculiar part of the viscosity tensor which does not result in dissipation and is allowed when parity symmetry is broken.

Time-Periodic Solutions of the Burgers Equation
We investigate the time periodic solutions to the viscous Burgers equation $u_t -\mu u_{xx} + uu_x = f$ for irregular forcing terms.

Osteogenic‐angiogenic cross‐talk is a vital prerequisite for vascularized bone regeneration. In this study, we investigated the effects of siRNA‐mediated silencing of two inhibitory proteins, Chordin and WWP‐1, via CaP‐NP‐loaded gelatin microparticles in osteogenically differentiated microtissues.

Insensitizing control of KDV–Burgers equations
This paper deals with the problem of insensitizing control of KDV–Burgers equation. This analysis produces a special type of null controllability, and shows that the nonlinear KDV–Burgers equation can be solved in terms of an insensitizing control.

New bounds for the inhomogenous Burgers and the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equations [PDF]
We give a substantially simplified proof of near-optimal estimate on the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation from [F. Otto, "Optimal bounds on the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation", JFA 2009], at the same time slightly improving the result.

Log-aesthetic Curves as Similarity Geometric Analogue of Euler's Elasticae
In this paper we consider the log-aesthetic curves and their generalization which are used in CAGD. We consider those curves under similarity geometry and characterize them as stationary integrable flow on plane curves which is governed by the Burgers ...
