Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome

ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

Prognostic Significance of the Serum Creatinine Level During the Shock Stage in Severe Burn Patients: A 10-Year Retrospective Study

Conclusion: The Scr level during the shock stage is an independent risk factor for hospital death, which is important for the prognosis of the 90-days’ mortality of severe burn patients, in combination with patient age, TBSA, and BI.
