Thomson Scattering and Burning Plasmas

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2008
In low temperature plasmas, tokamaks and other experimental fusion devices, the electron temperature and densities in the plasma can be measured with high accuracy by detecting the effect of Thomson scattering of light from a high‐intensity laser fired through the device.

Plasma catecholamines in thermal burns

Burns, 1981
Abstract This present study is based on the observations on plasma catecholamines in 35 cases of thermal burns of varying severity. In all the groups, there was an initial rise in plasma catecholamine level followed by a gradual decline except in patients of burn index more than 26 who died and in whom values were persistently high. Results were also

Burning plasma studies at JET

2008
Studies establishing key phenomena and developing diagnostics for energetic particle physics, which are essential for the next step burning plasma experiments such as the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), have been performed at the Joint European Torus (JET).

PLASMA PROTEINS IN CUTANEOUS BURNS

Archives of Surgery, 1927
Attention has frequently been called to the analogy between traumatic toxemia and the toxemia following extensive burns. Certain alterations in the plasma proteins have been observed which are of fundamental importance in explaining the syndrome in shock.
