European Code Against Cancer, 5th edition – outdoor and indoor air pollution and cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 1, Page 81-95, January 2026.
The 5th edition of the European Code Against Cancer (ECAC5) has 14 recommendations on cancer prevention. Here, we present updates on cancer prevention related to air pollution, positioned as recommendation number 11. It recommends: (1) using public transportation and walking or cycling instead of using a car; (2) choosing low‐traffic routes when ...

E‐Textiles in Biomedicine: Real Time Sensing, Energy Storage, and Therapeutic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 1, 7 January 2026.
E‐textiles merge electronics with fabrics to create intelligent, wearable systems for health, sports, and fashion. By embedding sensors, actuators, and conductive components, these textiles provide real‐time physiological monitoring. Complemented by flexible power sources including embedded batteries and energy‐harvesting technologies, e‐textiles ...

Strong, Recyclable, Bio‐Based Vitrimers by Tailored Rigid‐Flexible Structures for Advanced Carbon Fiber‐Reinforced Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 3, 14 January 2026.
A sustainable high‐performance epoxy vitrimer (F9T1) was developed via a rigid‐flexible integrated design using rigid and flexible bio‐based epoxy monomers. F9T1 features superior mechanical property, char‐forming ability, fire safety, chemical degradability and recyclability due to its rigid‐flexible network with abundant dynamic disulfide and ester ...

Behavioral Contagion in Wild Ecuadorian White‐Fronted Capuchins (Cebus aequatorialis)

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Primatology, Volume 88, Issue 1, January 2026.
White‐fronted capuchins exhibit scratching contagion, but neither the characteristics of the trigger, or of the partner's (sex, age class, or centrality), or of the dyad (combination of sex, combination of age class, or social bond) seem to modulate the likelihood of contagion.

Joint Association of Arterial Stiffness and Depression With New‐Onset Self‐Reported Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Among Elderly Chinese Population

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
Arterial stiffness and depressive symptoms independently and jointly increased the risk of new‐onset Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in older Chinese adults. Their small bidirectional mediation effects suggest interconnected vascular and psychological pathways contributing to COPD development.
