Synovial Chondromatosis of Pes Anserine Bursa Secondary to Osteochondroma
Orthopedics, 2014Osteochondromas are common benign bone tumors. Synovial chondromatosis is a benign cartilaginous metaplasia that occurs in the synovium. Extra-articular synovial chondromatosis in a prepatellar bursa
European Journal of Radiology Extra, 2007Abstract We report a case of an extremely rare form of a localized extra-articular synovial chondromatosis in a prepatellar bursa. Synovial chondromatosis (SC) is an uncommon and benign disease of the synovium characterized by formation of multiple loose bodies, most of which subsequently become calcified and/or ossified.

[Synovial recesses and bursae of the lumbosacral joint].

[Synovial giant cell tumor of the suprapatellar bursa].
Aktuelle Radiologie, 1991Both, giant cell tumor and pigmented synovitis are considered to be reactive and borderline proliferative lesions of the synovial cells. We report the case of a 48 year old woman presenting a mass in the knee. Despite of the use of a wide panel of different radiological examinations, diagnosis eventually had to be confirmed by histology.

The synovial structure of breast-implant-associated bursae.
Modern pathology : an official journal of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, Inc, 1995Over 2 million silicone breast prostheses have been implanted since they were introduced in the 1960s. After implantation, a fibrovascular tissue reaction referred to as a "capsule" is observed. Many consider this capsule to be a static structure, an effective barrier to the egress of foreign material.
