Abstract Marek's disease is a lymphoproliferative condition caused by Gallid alphaherpesvirus 2 (Marek's disease virus), affecting primarily birds of the order Galliformes. This study reports a case of Marek's disease in Sebright chickens in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
