4D Mapping of ZIF Biocomposites for High Protein Loading and Tunable Release Profiles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Systematic four‐dimensional mapping of zeolitic imidazolate framework biocomposites reveals how precursor ratios, total concentration, and washing define crystalline phase, protein loading, and release kinetics. This comprehensive study identifies conditions yielding record loading (∼85%) and precise phase–property correlations.

Surgical consideration for thoracolumbar burst fractures with spinal canal compromise without neurological deficit

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Translation, 2020
Summary: Background: For thoracolumbar burst fractures with spinal canal compromise but no neurological deficit, is it necessary to perform additional laminectomy decompression after the currently accepted posterior pedicle-screw internal fixation ...

Stochastic modelling of intermittent scrape-off layer plasma fluctuations

open access: yes, 2012
Single-point measurements of fluctuations in the scrape-off layer of magnetized plasmas are generally found to be dominated by large-amplitude bursts which are associated with radial motion of blob-like structures.

Endothelial Cells Angiogenesis in Sulfated Glycosaminoglycan (GAG) Hydrogels Enhanced by Bioactive Glass‐Released Ions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A mechanically tunable hydrogel composed of gelatin, chondroitin sulfate and laminin promotes angiogenesis in vitro without the supplement of growth factors. Endothelial cells morphogenesis was further enhanced by medium conditioned with bioactive glass 58S‐released ions (Ca and Si), thus offering a promising strategy to vascularize 3D tissue ...

Valuation method for sub-indicators of rock burst risk based on mining depth and tectonic stress

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
The mechanical properties of deep rocks differ from those of the shallow layers due to the complex environment. Rock burst disasters are often induced under the disturbance of coal mining.

SURGE: Continuous Detection of Bursty Regions Over a Stream of Spatial Objects

open access: yes, 2017
With the proliferation of mobile devices and location-based services, continuous generation of massive volume of streaming spatial objects (i.e., geo-tagged data) opens up new opportunities to address real-world problems by analyzing them. In this paper,

Spatiotemporal Plasma–Mediated Laser Fabrication of Ultrahigh‐Aspect‐Ratio Nanochannel Arrays for Vertical Perovskite Nanowire Semiconductor Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A spatiotemporal plasma–mediated laser processing approach is developed to fabricate ultrahigh–aspect ratio nanochannel arrays and corresponding perovskite nanowire arrays within transparent materials for optoelectronics devices. The laser‐fabricated nanochannels serve as templates for controlled perovskite infiltration and crystallization, enabling ...

Study on the size effect of rock burst tendency of red sandstone under uniaxial compression

open access: yesScientific Reports
The study of rock burst tendency of rock masses with different sizes plays a key role in the prevention of rock burst. Through theoretical analysis, it is proposed that uniaxial compressive strength and deformation modulus ratio are the key mechanical ...

Evidence of an initially magnetically dominated outflow in GRB 080916C

open access: yes, 2009
The composition of gamma-ray burst (GRB) ejecta is still a mystery. The standard model invokes an initially hot ``fireball'' composed of baryonic matter. Here we analyze the broad band spectra of GRB 080916C detected by the Fermi satellite.

CORRELATION BETWEEN HARDNESS RATIO AND DURATION OF FERMI GAMMA-RAY BURSTS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics: Conference Series, 2013
Using the latest gamma-ray bursts (GRB) observed by Fermi-GBM, we perform a statistical analysis of the relation between hardness ratio (HR) and duration (ΔT) of GRBs, and find that HR and ΔT are still anti-correlated. we also find that this correlation strongly depends upon the spectral shape of GRBs and energy bands, and the bursts with the curved ...
