An Experimental Study on the Sealing Mechanism of a Karst Pipeline by Dynamic Water Grouting
Aiming at the problem of water burst plugging in karst pipelines, in this paper, a new type of waterborne epoxy resin magnetic self-polymerization grouting material (WEMS) suitable for karst pipeline water burst plugging was developed, and a visual ...

An Ionic Gelation Powder for Ultrafast Hemostasis and Accelerated Wound Healing
An ultrafast ionic gelation‐activated hemostatic powder (AGCL) forms a hydrogel within ≈1 s upon contact with blood‐derived calcium ions. The AGCL powder enables rapid hemorrhage control, strong tissue adhesion, and enhanced healing. The powder's pre‐crosslinked polymer network ensures high blood uptake and stability, offering effective treatment for ...

A 3D nanowire‐network SERS substrate with robust adhesion is developed, featuring pronounced z‐direction optical activity, ultralow detection limit (1.5 × 10−13 M), and excellent signal uniformity (RSD < 10%). Enabled by enhanced light scattering, increased optical density of states, and structural reinforcement, the substrate demonstrates stable, high‐

Involvement of the Cav3.2 T-type calcium channel in thalamic neuron discharge patterns
Background Mice that have defects in their low-threshold T-type calcium channel (T-channel) genes show altered pain behaviors. The changes in the ratio of nociceptive neurons and the burst firing property of reticular thalamic (RT) and ventroposterior ...

Simultaneous X-ray and optical observations of thermonuclear bursts in the LMXB EXO 0748-676
We report the detection of a large number of optical bursts in the Low Mass X-ray Binary (LMXB) EXO 0748-676 simultaneous with the thermonuclear X-ray bursts. The X-ray and the optical bursts are detected in a long observation of this source with the XMM-

A UV‐triggered injectable dual‐network hydrogel is reported as the first application of bletilla striata polysaccharide (BSP) in osteochondral repair. By integrating methacrylamide‐modified BSP and nitrobenzaldehyde‐functionalized hyaluronic acid, the system achieves immunomodulation, mechanical reinforcement, and dynamic tissue adhesion, thereby ...

The HCO+/N2H+ Flux Ratio as a Novel Tracer of Accretion Burst Activity in Protostars
Massive young stellar objects (MYSOs) accrete mass primarily through episodic accretion events, yet detecting these events remains challenging, relying chiefly on infrared and maser variability.

MAGTWIST: A compact magnetic rotary actuator, enabling smooth, stepless rotation, and on‐demand locking. Inspired by peristalsis, a soft polymer belt generates a traveling‐wave, enabling 270° rotation when heated. Cooling stiffens the belt, locking it in position and enabling it to withstand high loads.
