Nanolayer‐Encapsulated Stretchable Liquid‐Metal Sheets for Thermal Management

We fabricated a biomimetic dendrimer‐modified thin‐film nanocomposite membrane with a coordination‐assisted ion‐selective interface. pH‐responsive polypeptide sites preferentially bind Mg2+ and promote Li+ permeation, as predicted by density functional theory calculations of metal‐ligand interactions.

Ratio of color and effective temperatures in X-ray burst spectra
We present model atmospheres and theoretical spectra for X-ray bursters. Our models include the effects of Compton scattering on free electrons. The atmospheres have compositions that are mixtures of hydrogen, helium, and iron. For our models the ratio of color temperature, $T_c$, to effective temperature, $T_{eff}$, is in the range 1.2 - 1.8.

Chemical evolution with bursts of star formation - Element ratios in dwarf galaxies
It is demonstrated that galaxies in which star formation proceeds in a small number of bursts evolve their chemical elements in ratios which are very different from those in galaxies with continuing star formation. Systematic changes of element ratios with overall chemical abundance are determined to a large extent by the onset and duration of the star
