Advanced Bus Stops for Bus Rapid Transit

open access: yes, 2005
The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is planning a bus rapid transit route on the alignment of its busiest existing route, with 30 stops in each direction. This study was conducted to determine how new technology could best be used to improve these bus stops as well as bus stops on other VTA routes and other bus systems.

Space‐Efficient Logical Qubit Architecture with a Bus for Magic State Consumption

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
This paper proposes a logical qubit architecture, considering the consumption of magic states. By constructing the patch to the magic state using the repetition code and data qubits using the surface code, the proposed architecture minimizes the number of qubits, referred to as the space cost.

Tunable Josephson Generator for Qubit Excitation and Two‐Tone Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
A tunable on‐chip Josephson generator that enables direct qubit excitation has been presented. The device consists of a current‐biased Josephson junction and a superconducting resonator, forming a microwave source that operates at 4 K. Excitation of the qubit at 20 mK was done via a short coaxial line between the 4 K and 20 mK stages.

CONCERT: A Modular Reconfigurable Robot for Construction

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents CONCERT, a fully reconfigurable modular collaborative robot (cobot) for multiple on‐site operations in a construction site. CONCERT has been designed to support human activities in construction sites by leveraging two main characteristics: high‐power density motors and modularity. In this way, the robot is able to perform a
