Evaluation of the pre-detective signal priority for bus rapid transit: coordinating the primary and secondary intersections

open access: yesTransport, 2018
Since the traditional transit priority strategy can only adjust signal timing in a limited range and is not suitable for all kinds of signal timing designs, it cannot provide enough priority for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).

Passenger‐based adaptive transit signal priority for BRT systems with multiple loading areas

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, Volume 18, Issue 6, Page 1089-1108, June 2024.
The proposed passenger‐based adaptive signal priority for BRT systems (PASPB) is designed to optimize both green times and phase sequences at the start of each cycle and for a prespecified decision horizon. Public transport vehicle dwell time is modelled in this study by analyzing the cases of passenger service by single or double PT vehicles.
