Dual‐Mode Electrophoretic Displays Enabled by Quantum Dot‐Decorated PR48:2 Pigment Particles and TiO2 for All‐Weather Visibility, Excellent Bistability, and Enhanced Readability

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel quantum dot electrophoretic display (QDEPD), which combines electro‐controlled reflection and optically‐triggered emission to achieve efficient multi‐modal switching within a single pixel. By incorporating multi‐component nanostructures, the system enhances functional integration and multi‐modal response capabilities.

Which factors impact bus travel, and the potential of replacing car travel with bus travel: an empirical study from a Chinese third-tier city

open access: yesDigital Transportation and Safety
The role of transport in accelerating the development of Chinese cities has attracted widespread attention among global scholars. However, previous studies were primarily dominated by more prestigious Chinese first-tier, new first-tier, or second-tier ...

Validated RP‐HPLC–UV Method for the Quantitative Analysis and Stability Evaluation of Amoxicillin in Paediatric Gummy Tablets

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
A validated RP‐HPLC–UV method was successfully applied for amoxicillin determination in gummy tablets. The method is useful for an accurate amoxicillin content determination in paediatric gummies and was applied to study the stability profile of the drug, evaluated over 6 months under storage conditions.

Prediction Intervals for Bus Travel Time Based on Road Segment Sharing, Multiple Routes’ Driving Style Similarity, and Bootstrap Method

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Providing accurate information about bus travel times can help passengers plan their itinerary and reduce waiting time. However, due to various uncertainty factors and the sparsity of single-route data, traditional travel time predictions cannot ...

A Review of Overcurrent Protection in Smart Grids Under Cyber‐Physical Threats With a Cyber‐Physical Evaluation Framework

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
By manipulating current and voltage measurements, an assailant can induce unwanted relay action while attempting to avoid detection. Detecting advanced cyber intrusions in power protection environments requires specialised data analysis and anomaly detection methods.

Traffic impacts of dynamic bus lanes: a simulation experiment of real-world bus operations

open access: yesEuropean Transport Research Review
As buses often share space with other vehicles, their travel time and reliability are affected by the flow of traffic. This can be mitigated by prioritization measures as bus streets or bus lanes, but such measures are not always possible due to limited ...

Demand and revenue implications of an integrated public transport policy. The case of [PDF]

open access: yes
One of the most popular options for promoting public transport use is the provision of an integrated and high quality public transport system. This was the strategy adopted by the regional government in Madrid in 1986 and since then public transport ...

Hybrid Osprey‐Salp Swarm Optimization Algorithm for Single and Multiobjective Optimal Power Flow in Smart Grids With Renewable Energy Integration

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
The proposed hybrid osprey‐salp swarm optimization algorithm addresses optimal power flow (OPF) problems in smart grids incorporating solar, hydro, and thermal generators. The algorithm is validated on Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 30‐, 57‐, and 118‐bus test systems across five single and multiobjective OPF scenarios.

Smart Charging With Hourly Pricing as Policy Intervention: Reducing Costs and Grid Congestion for Promoting Electric Vehicles in Developing Countries

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Smart charging with hourly pricing optimizes electric vehicle (EV) charging in developing countries, reducing EV owner costs by 30% and easing grid congestion. Using an agent‐based energy management system, the study shows dynamic pricing effectively shifts charging to off‐peak hours, enhancing grid stability and supporting sustainable EV adoption in ...

Measuring the structural determinants of urban travel demand [PDF]

open access: yes
To be best prepared for tomorrow's cities we need to forecast urban travel demand. To this end, this study calibrates an urban travel demand model, which uses the principal structural variables that have been identified in the literature.
