Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Globalization and Monetary Policy Institute Working Papers, 2012 Using an estimated DSGE model that features monetary and fiscal policy interactions and allows for equilibrium indeterminacy, we find that a passive monetary and passive fiscal policy regime prevailed in the pre-Volcker period while an active monetary and passive fiscal policy regime prevailed post-Volcker.

Business Tax Policy Under Default Risk [PDF]
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2019 In this article we use a stochastic model with one representative firm to study business tax policy under default risk. We will show that, for a given tax rate, the government has an incentive to reduce (increase) financial instability and default costs if its objective function is welfare (tax revenue).
