Thermodynamic functions for the systems 1-butanol, 2-butanol, andt-butanol + cyclohexane
Journal of Solution Chemistry, 1983The following properties of mixtures of the butanols with cyclohexane were measured over the whole range of composition: 1-butanol+cyclohexane and 2-butanol+cyclohexane; excess enthalpies at 15, 25, 35 and 45°C, excess volumes at 25 and 45°C, activity coefficients and excess Gibbs free energies at 45°C.

Abstract (Liquid + liquid) equilibrium (LLE) and binodal curve data were determined for the systems (water + phenol + tert-butanol) at T = 298.15 K, (water + phenol + 2-butanol) and (water + phenol + 1-butanol) at T = 298.15 K and T = 313.15 K by the combined techniques of densimetry and refractometry.

Fermentative butanol production by clostridia
Biotechnology and Bioengineering, 2008AbstractButanol is an aliphatic saturated alcohol having the molecular formula of C4H9OH. Butanol can be used as an intermediate in chemical synthesis and as a solvent for a wide variety of chemical and textile industry applications. Moreover, butanol has been considered as a potential fuel or fuel additive.

Acetone-butanol fermentation of lignocellulosic hydrolysates for the butanol production
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2017It is known that the use of lignocellulosic hydrolysates reduces the production cost of biofuel such as biobutanol and bioethanol. But for the most successful application of the hydrolysates for the biofuel production, it is necessary to apply an inexpensive and effective detoxification method and to use of cost-effective growth factors. In the present
