Identification and Quantification of Volatile Organic Compounds and Bioaerosols in the Conservation Processes of Guanche Mummies

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 68, Issue 3, Page 561-572, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The Guanche mummies, ancient inhabitants of the Canary Islands, represent a significant part of the historical heritage preserved at the Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA) in Tenerife, Spain. These mummies, subjected to artificial conservation practices, are of great interest to conservators seeking to understand their mummification ...

Gas-phase rate coefficients for the reaction of 3-hydroxy-2-butanone and 4-hydroxy-2-butanone with OH and Cl [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Environment, 2013
The reactions of the OH radicals and the Cl atoms with 3-hydroxy 2-butanone (3H2B) and 4-hydroxy 2-butanone (4H2B) were investigated in the gas-phase using relative rate method. The kinetic study on the OH-reactions was carried out using a Pyrex atmospheric chamber at 600-760 Torr of purified air.

Design of peptide-containing N5-unmodified neutral flavins that catalyze aerobic oxygenations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Simulation of the monooxygenation function of flavoenzyme (Fl-Enz) has been long-studied with N5-modified cationic flavins (FlEt+), but never with N5-unmodified neutral flavins (Fl) despite the fact that Fl is genuinely equal to the active center of Fl ...

Proactive Robotic Grasp Stability via Tactile Safety Margin Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
We introduce the tactile safety margin (TSM), defined as the ratio between applied friction force (Ffric) and maximum friction (Fmax) derived from grip force. A bilayer E‐skin with decoupled temperature, strain, and pressure sensing enables real‐time grasp stability monitoring through measured TSM values, allowing robots to proactively adjust grip ...

Tape‐Cast NMC‐LLZO‐LBO‐based Composite Cathodes for Solid‐State Lithium Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2026.
Tape‐casting and cosintering of free‐standing Ni‐rich NMC based composite cathodes for garnet‐type all‐solid‐state Li‐batteries. In order to increase the industrial appeal of solid‐state batteries (SSBs) based on garnet Li7La3Zr2O12 (LLZO), the possibility of manufacturing them using scalable production processes such as tape casting must be ...
