Synthesis and Characterization of High Glycolic Acid Content Poly(glycolic acid-co-butylene adipate-co-butylene terephthalate) and Poly(glycolic acid-co-butylene succinate) Copolymers with Improved Elasticity

open access: yesACS Omega, 2023
Poly(glycolic acid) (PGA) is a biodegradable polymer with high gas barrier properties, mechanical strength, and heat deflection temperature. However, PGA's brittleness severely limits its application in packaging, creating a need to develop PGA-based copolymers with improved elasticity that maintain its barrier properties and hydrolytic degradability ...

Condensation of 4-azafluorene with ?-butylene glycol and glycerin

open access: yesChemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, 1986
1,4-Di (4-azafluoren-9-yl) butane and 9-(δ-hydroxybutyl)-4-azafluorene were obtained by condensing 4-azafluorene with γ-butylene glycol. From the first of these products, 1,4-di(7-aza-3-oxo-1,2,3,10b-tetrahydrofluoranthen-10b-yl)butane was synthesized by a series of successive transformations (cyanoethylation, hydrolysis, dehydrocyclization).
