The Effect of Chlorhexidine Mouthwash on Blood Pressure: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dental Hygiene, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim This study evaluated the effect of rinsing with a chlorhexidine containing mouthwash (CHX‐MW) on blood pressure (BP), as compared to rinsing with a control MW or no MW, based on (randomised) controlled trials and observational studies in humans. PROSPERO CRD42020222495.

Challenges to artificial intelligence‐enabled digital technology adoption in farms: a multi‐method approach

open access: yesInternational Transactions in Operational Research, EarlyView.
Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI)‐enabled digital technologies have the potential to transform agriculture by supporting decision‐making and automating operations. However, their limited adoptions and scholars’ atheoretical explorations constrain our understanding.

GIS-based spatial modeling of landslide susceptibility using BWM-LSI: A case study – city of Smederevo (Serbia)

open access: yesOpen Geosciences
Landslides and slope processes constitute one of the most frequent natural hazards in valleys near major rivers and mountainous regions. The surface layer, characterized by its relatively loose composition, is prone to sliding due to a combination of ...

Homotopy homomorphisms and the classifying space functor

open access: yes, 2014
We show that the classifying space functor $B: Mon \to Top*$ from the category of topological monoids to the category of based spaces is left adjoint to the Moore loop space functor $\Omega': Top*\to Mon$ after we have localized $Mon$ with respect to all

Multi‐omics profiling of chronic immune‐mediated skin diseases: SKINERGY protocol and strategic evaluation

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
The SKINERGY study will investigate six immune‐mediated inflammatory skin diseases through a nationwide collaboration across all Dutch university medical centres. Involving 720 patients and 120 healthy volunteers, it is aimed at generating a high‐quality dataset to identify biomarkers that enable personalized treatment strategies and improved disease ...

J Regularization Improves Imbalanced Multiclass Segmentation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We propose a new loss formulation to further advance the multiclass segmentation of cluttered cells under weakly supervised conditions. When adding a Youden's J statistic regularization term to the cross entropy loss we improve the separation of touching

Long‐term efficacy of abrocitinib in patients with moderate‐to‐severe atopic dermatitis to 2 years

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
JADE EXTEND is an ongoing phase 3, long‐term extension study of previous abrocitinib trials. Patients were adults and adolescents ≥12 years with moderate‐to‐severe atopic dermatitis. Long‐term abrocitinib treatment resulted in clinically meaningful outcomes and improvements in patient‐reported outcomes up to Week 112 in patients with moderate‐to‐severe

Cepheid distances from the SpectroPhoto-Interferometry of Pulsating Stars (SPIPS) - Application to the prototypes delta Cep and eta Aql

open access: yes, 2015
The parallax of pulsation, and its implementations such as the Baade-Wesselink method and the infrared surface bright- ness technique, is an elegant method to determine distances of pulsating stars in a quasi-geometrical way.

Dupilumab versus tralokinumab in atopic dermatitis: A propensity score adjusted comparison from BioDay

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
This multicentre, observational cohort study in adults and adolescents with atopic dermatitis found that dupilumab treatment provides a higher probability of achieving the treatment targets EASI ≤ 7 and NRS‐pruritus ≤ 4 compared with tralokinumab treatment. Absolute EASI and NRS‐pruritus differences were small among responders.
