Cell Membrane‐Coated Lipid Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
This review highlights recent progress in cell membrane‐coated lipid nanoparticles (CMC‐LNPs), focusing on their design, preparation methods, functional integration, and biomedical applications. It discusses various types of LNPs and coating strategies, characterization techniques, therapeutic functions, and applications.

Harnessing the Biological Responses Induced by Nanomaterials for Enhanced Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
Nanomaterial (NM)‐induced toxicity can be strategically repurposed for cancer therapy. This review summarizes the mechanism by which NMs selectively activate specific cellular processes to regulate cell fate independently. We also discussed how NMs‐induced biological responses can be leveraged as therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment.

Huge Interatrial Septal Aneurysm: A Coincidental but Rather Fatal Finding

open access: yesCase Reports in Medicine, 2011
We report the case of a patient with a huge interatrial septal aneurysm as an intraoperative coincidental finding that led to a fatal outcome. The patient was admitted to our hospital in order to undergo elective coronary artery bypass grafting because ...

The optimal treatment of multivessel coronary artery disease [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The practice of percutaneous coronary intervention has overtaken coronary bypass surgery in the treatment of ischaemic heart disease. Several randomized controlled as well as registry and observational trials have addressed the issue of patient selection

Animal models of lung cancer: Phenotypic comparison of different animal models of lung cancer and their application in the study of mechanisms

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Grafts used to construct lung cancer animal models come from various sources, primarily cell lines, patient‐derived tumor tissues, and circulating tumor cells. Based on the sources of grafts and research objectives, lung cancer animal models can be categorized into several types: chemical‐induced models, orthotopic transplantation models, heterotopic ...

Sheep femoral artery occlusion is well tolerated and does not result in ischemia

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Left femoral artery occlusion (yellow arrows) can be seen shortly after the lateral femoral circumflex artery origin, with distal arterial reconstitution. Sheep with femoral artery occlusion showed no change in pain scores nor mobility, thus making them an appropriate model for novel small diameter femoral artery graft studies. Abstract Objective Sheep
