Projective $C^*$-algebras.

open access: yesMATHEMATICA SCANDINAVICA, 1993
We show that if \(A\) and \(B\) are \(\sigma\)-unital, projective \(C^*\)- algebras (star-homomorphisms into \(C^*\)-algebras quotients lift to star-homomorphisms) then \(A\oplus B\) and \(M_ n(A)\) are projective. Corresponding results are proven for semiprojectivity. A corollary is that elements \(h_ 1,\dots, h_ n\) in a quotient \(C/I\) satisfying \[

Traces on the uniform tracial completion of Z$\mathcal {Z}$‐stable C∗${\rm C}^*$‐algebras

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 111, Issue 6, June 2025.
Abstract The uniform tracial completion of a C∗${\rm C}^*$‐algebra A$A$ with compact trace space T(A)≠∅$T(A) \ne \emptyset$ is obtained by completing the unit ball with respect to the uniform 2‐seminorm ∥a∥2,T(A)=supτ∈T(A)τ(a∗a)1/2$\Vert a\Vert _{2,T(A)}=\sup _{\tau \in T(A)} \tau (a^*a)^{1/2}$. The trace problem asks whether every trace on the uniform

Decomposable approximations of nuclear C*-algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We show that nuclear <i>C</i>*-algebras have a refined version of the completely positive approximation property, in which the maps that approximately factorize through finite dimensional algebras are convex ...

Solvent‐annealing‐induced microphase separation in polyether polyurethane: a small‐angle X‐ray scattering study

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, Volume 58, Issue 2, Page 564-572, April 2025.
Small‐angle X‐ray scattering was applied to polyether polyurethane to investigate the effects of solvent vapor annealing on the microphase separation. Among the solvents studied, methyl ethyl ketone induced the greatest degree of phase separation in polyurethane compared with the thermally annealed state. This study investigated the effects of solvent ...

InstaMap: instant‐NGP for cryo‐EM density maps

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section D, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 147-169, April 2025.
Cryo‐EM density‐map inference, with fixed pose and contrast transfer function, using a multi‐resolution hash‐encoding framework called instant‐NGP, is described, together with its extension to heterogeneity inference by bending space with a per‐image vector field.Despite the parallels between problems in computer vision and cryo‐electron microscopy ...

2-Homogeneous C*-algebras with the space of primitive ideals homeomorphic to a two-dimensional oriented compact connected manifold generated by idempotents

open access: yesЖурнал Белорусского государственного университета: Математика, информатика, 2018
Before showed in 1961 that every n-homogeneous C*-algebra is isomorphic to the algebra of all continuous sections for the appropriate algebraic bundle. The base space for the bundle is homeomorphic to the space of primitive ideals for the algebra in the ...

Quantum automorphism groups of lexicographic products of graphs

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 111, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract Sabidussi's theorem [Duke Math. J. 28 (1961), 573–578] gives necessary and sufficient conditions under which the automorphism group of a lexicographic product of two graphs is a wreath product of the respective automorphism groups. We prove a quantum version of Sabidussi's theorem for finite graphs, with the automorphism groups replaced by ...
