The universal bound property for a class of second order ODEs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
We consider the scalar second order ODE u + |u | $\alpha$ u + |u| $\beta$ u = 0, where $\alpha$, $\beta$ are two positive numbers and the non-linear semi-group S(t) generated on IR 2 by the system in (u, u). We prove that S(t)IR 2 is bounded for all t > 0 whenever 0 < $\alpha$ < $\beta$ and moreover there is a constant C independent of the initial data

Living Biotherapeutics Using Nanoparticles‐Armed Cyanobacteria for Boosting Photodynamic‐Immunotherapy of Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A schematic illustration of the cyanobacteria‐based biohybrid platform for photodynamic cancer therapy enhanced PDT. The platform continuously outputs O2 (to alleviate tumor hypoxia) and 1O2 (for tumor treatment), achieving improved photodynamic immunotherapy. Abstract The interdisciplinary development of synthetic biology and material sciences propels

Lipid Droplet‐Organized MDM2‐Mediated P53 Degradation: A Metabolic Switch Governing Diet‐Driven Tumor Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor‐associated TP53 inactivation correlates with lipid droplet (LD) accumulation. High‐fat diets drive Cyb5r3‐Myh9‐mediated p53 enrichment on LD surfaces, accelerating its degradation while upregulating LD‐promoting factor CD36 expression to establish a feed‐forward loop. LD suppression or dietary intervention restores p53 and inhibits tumorigenesis,

PP2A Promotes the Symmetric Division of MUC1‐Dominant Cancer Stem‐Like Cells in Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
During the G2/M phase, mucin1 (MUC1) activates protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), leading to reduced phosphorylation of protein kinase C ζ (PKCζ) and NUMB, which promotes symmetric division and expansion of cancer stem‐like cells (CSLCs), thereby driving tumorigenesis. Combined inhibition of the MUC1–PP2A axis using LB100/GO203 with etoposide restores PKCζ
