Abstract Background The radiation‐induced abscopal effect (RIAE) is a desirable phenomenon involving radiation‐induced activation of the immune system and regression of metastatic disease after local radiotherapy. Volumetric Nanodroplet‐Enhanced Ultrasound Surgery Combined with Immune Checkpoint Inhibition as a Cancer Therapy Platform

This study presents a cancer therapy platform combining nanodroplet‐mediated histotripsy with anti PD‐1 checkpoint inhibition. Activated nanodroplets induce tumor fractionation via low‐frequency ultrasound application, enhancing immune cell infiltration and creating a T‐cell–inflamed microenvironment.
