Intensity level as sustainable energy: Analysis of the conversion of energy stored on cicadas sound waves

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Fisika Al-Biruni, 2021
In this study, the researchers measured cicadas' sound waves, considering that cicadas are mostly found in rural areas. The intensity level meter (AMTAST AMF003) was used with time variations (9:00 JST; 12:00 JST; and 15:00 JST).

Anuran call properties as reliable indicators of environmental suitability for reproduction

open access: yesFrontiers in Ecology and the Environment, EarlyView.
The onset of animal breeding activity is often accompanied by auditory signals, typically produced by males, that indicate reproductive status to potential mates and competitors. Here, using male anuran advertisement calls as a case study, we present the novel hypothesis that characteristics of ectotherm auditory signals that are modulated by ...

Development of experimental mesocosms for cicada nymphs Graptopsaltria nigrofuscata: methodology and research recommendations

open access: yesSoil Organisms, 2021
The experimental mesocosm, an artificial enclosure system for soil organisms, is a major research tool in soil ecology. Development of a rearing method for target organisms within mesocosms is essential for conducting mesocosm experiments.

The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1697-1716, April 2025.
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

Harnessing Natural Compounds in Psoriasis: Targeting Cellular Pathways for Effective Therapy

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
Natural compounds act on key cellular pathways in psoriasis by suppressing keratinocyte hyperproliferation, modulating Th17/IL‐17‐mediated immune responses, and reducing oxidative stress. These multi‐target effects highlight their potential as safer adjunctive therapies alongside conventional treatments.
