The assembly and importance of a novel ecosystem: The ant community of coffee farms in Puerto Rico. [PDF]

Here, we describe the arboreally foraging ant community in 25 coffee farms in Puerto Rico. We find that the majority of the dominant species are non‐native. Through a detailed study of two of the farms, we describe the interactions between two non‐native dominant species, Wasmannia auropunctata and Solenopsis invicta.
