C 60 bonding to graphite and boron nitride surfaces

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 2003
The present study focuses on the interaction of C60 with the surfaces of highly oriented pyrolitic graphite (HOPG) and sp2-bonded boron nitride (BN). The nanocrystalline BN film was deposited by mass selected ion beams and features an sp2-bonded surface layer, which covers a cubic phase BN film.

On the applicability of the Kasha-Vavilov rule to C-60

open access: yesSpectrochimica acta. Part A. Molecular spectroscopy, 1994
Via full correction for the instrumental response function, the fluorescence excitation spectrum of C60 in methylcyclohexane between 240 and 580 nm is shown to match the absorption spectrum. This proves that, in contrast to earlier reports, also after UV excitation into higher Sn states, deactivation proceeds virtually completely via the S1 state, in ...

The Role of Chemotherapy in Pediatric Myoepithelial Carcinoma: A Systematic Review of the Literature

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Myoepithelial carcinoma (MEC) in pediatric patients is a rare and aggressive malignancy characterized by heterogeneous morphology and variable molecular features. The optimal role of chemotherapy remains unclear. We conducted a systematic review according to PRISMA 2020 guidelines to evaluate chemotherapy in pediatric and young‐adult patients ...

Determining Parental Factors for Clinical Trial Attrition in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Despite high enrollment rates on Children's Oncology Group (COG) protocols, attrition after initial consent is challenging, introducing bias and prolonging trial completion. While adult oncology literature has identified predictors of withdrawal, little is known about caregiver decision‐making for child participation in ...
