PHARS: a C-Band Airborne SAR [PDF]
For the study of microwave scattering of vegetation, forests, sea and other targets ground-based and airbome scatterometers and a digital SLAR system (X-band) are used since many years in The Netherlands. All these systems are absolutely calibrated.

C-Banding of Plant Chromosomes
2023C-banding visualizes regions of chromosomes containing constitutive heterochromatin. It creates distinct patterns along the chromosome length and allows precise chromosome identification if C-bands are present in sufficient numbers. It is performed on chromosome spreads generated from fixed material, usually root tips or anthers.

Even-harmonic C-band modulator
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2005Direct modulation at microwave frequencies promises the advantages of compact size, low cost, and relatively simple system design. In this paper, a novel architecture of a direct-vector C-band modulator is described. In particular, a subharmonic mixer is used to overcome the high carrier leakage that is associated with conventional fundamental ...

Dispersion-flattened photonic quasicrystal optofluidic fiber for telecom C band operation
, 2020Photonic quasicrystals are of particular interest for waveguiding applications because of their beneficial advantages over conventional photonic crystals, such as higher-order rotational symmetry and more isotropic Brillouin zone. In this work, by use of

A high-resolution C-banding technique
Canadian Journal of Genetics and Cytology, 1986A high-resolution C-banding technique is described. The major advantages of this method are its simplicity and reliability. Because this technique allows the recognition of unusual C-band heteromorphisms, it can be very useful in population cytogenetic studies.Key words: karyotyping, banding (C), heterochromatin, high resolution.

Scanning Electron Microscopy of C-Banding
Zoological Science, 1996The mechanism of C-banding was analyzed on the basis of the structural changes of the 30 nm chromatin fibre using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). SEM of non-banded metaphase spreads of L-cells revealed chromosomes consisting of 30 nm chromatin fibre loops along the entire length.
