A high-resolution C-banding technique
Canadian Journal of Genetics and Cytology, 1986A high-resolution C-banding technique is described. The major advantages of this method are its simplicity and reliability. Because this technique allows the recognition of unusual C-band heteromorphisms, it can be very useful in population cytogenetic studies.Key words: karyotyping, banding (C), heterochromatin, high resolution.

Few-layer bismuthene for robust ultrafast photonics in C-Band optical communications
Nanotechnology, 2019The ultrafast photonics of different conventional two-dimensional (2D) materials have been studied intensively. Few-layer structure bismuthene has been reported as a new type of 2D material with high efficient electronics, strong mechanics and ...

Scanning Electron Microscopy of C-Banding
Zoological Science, 1996The mechanism of C-banding was analyzed on the basis of the structural changes of the 30 nm chromatin fibre using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). SEM of non-banded metaphase spreads of L-cells revealed chromosomes consisting of 30 nm chromatin fibre loops along the entire length.

C-Band Heteromorphism in Breast Cancer Patients
Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics, 1985The pattern of heteromorphism in the C-band-positive constitutive heterochromatin of human chromosomes #1, #9, and #16 was studied in peripheral lymphocytes of 54 breast cancer patients and 78 control individuals. The parameters of the heterochromatic regions analyzed were relative size, symmetry-asymmetry within homologous pairs, and prevalence of ...

1980 International Electron Devices Meeting, 1980
The operating characteristics of a gyrotron travellng wave tube (gyro-TWT) operating at C-band are reported. Detailed testing showed that at higher beam voltage and current and with a magnetic field profile increasing in magnitude toward the rf output window, the output power could be increased from 50 kW at 16.6% efficiency to 128 kW at 24% efficiency.

C-Banding of Plant Chromosomes
2016C-banding is used to differentially stain metaphase chromosomes in organisms having appreciable amounts of constitutive heterochromatin. Its primary benefits are that it is an inexpensive and a relatively fast method of identifying individual chromosomes and morphological or karyotypic variation, including large chromosomal rearrangements and ...

C-band coherent direct synthesizer
12th International Conference on Microwaves and Radar. MIKON-98. Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.98EX195), 2002The principle of operation of a direct coherent synthesizer is described. Practical realisation and measurement results of the C-band synthesizer are presented. Good parameters such as small frequency steps, fast switching time and low phase noise level are obtained.

C-Band Satellite Communications
30th AIAA International Communications Satellite System Conference (ICSSC), 2012Commercial satellite communications began in the early 1960s, building on C-band technologies developed in previous decades for point-to-point terrestrial microwave links. As the industry has grown, C-band usage in satellite communications has been augmented, but not replaced, by the usage of higher frequency bands.

C-band complementary TRAPATT diodes
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1974Complementary n+-p junction TRAPATT diodes have been fabricated for C-band operation. Peak power output as high as 27 W with 42.5-percent efficiency has been achieved at 7.2 GHz.
