Interactive Test Tool for Interoperable C-ITS Development

2015 IEEE 18th International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems, 2015
This paper presents the architecture of an Interactive Test Tool (ITT) for interoperability testing of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS). Cooperative systems are developed by different manufacturers at different locations, which makes interoperability testing a tedious task.

C-ITS Communications based on BLE Messages

GLOBECOM 2020 - 2020 IEEE Global Communications Conference, 2020
C-ITS (Cooperative Intelligent Transport System) Messages are usually sent through a specific WIFI (IEEE 802.11p) denoted also ITS-G5. This protocol is more appropriate to mobility than all other usual WiFi. The use of such networks require to vehicles and Road side Units (RSU) to be equipped with 802.11p modules.

Integration of C-ITS in Autonomous Driving

2020 IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium (IV), 2020
Cooperative, Connected and Autonomous (CCAD) is clearly the next step in the development of autonomous vehicles, solving much of the technological limitations that the autonomous vehicles suffer today. This development of the CCAD can be considered as an extension of Cooperative Systems (C-ITS) to the field of autonomous vehicles.

Training Opportunities for ITS and C-ITS

2020 IEEE 23rd International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC), 2020
Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) are of high significance, mainly due to the benefits they have in terms of operation of the transport network. Despite ITS and C-ITS importance in the operation of the transport network, there is a major knowledge gap regarding their development, way of operation ...

Securing PKI Requests for C-ITS Systems

2017 26th International Conference on Computer Communication and Networks (ICCCN), 2017
Cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems are rapidly gaining momentum in the scenario of modern wireless communications. Within these environments, messages are exchanged continuously. The latter should be secure and ensure users' privacy. Public Key Infrastructures (PKIs) represent the major solution to meet security needs.

Intermediate Pseudonym Certificate Generation for C-ITS

2021
One of the most known mechanism to ensure privacy is the use of anonymity which means that drivers have to change their identity as much as possible. In the meantime, each message has to be authenticated when it is sent. To do so, each driver should sign its messages using its private key and has to send its certificate along with the message.

Empowering Vulnerable Road Users in C-ITS

2018 IEEE Globecom Workshops (GC Wkshps), 2018
Almost 50% of people dying on the roads are vulnerable users. Pedestrians and cyclists are among the main road traffic crash victims. Despite the recent advances in traffic safety during the last decades, the number of fatalities is still high and its reduction is considered a priority by the United Nations.
