The structure and characteristics of a new magnetic shielding device are described. This shielding device utilizes a certain magnetic circuit in which C-shaped magnetic sheets are combined in a cage-like shape. This is effective in both screening out the unwanted external field and in reducing the leakage flux from magnetic field generators.
