A biometric study of C-shaped root canal systems in mandibular second molars using cone-beam computed tomography.

open access: yes, 2012
AIM: To investigate the configuration of C-shaped canals in mandibular second molars, canal wall thickness and the orientation of the thinnest area at 1-mm intervals from the canal orifice to the apex by using cone-beam computed tomographic (CBCT) images.

Deubiquitination of Vangl by USP6 and USP32 Regulates Planar Cell Polarity Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Compartment‐specific deubiquitination controls Vangl dosage and planar cell polarity signaling. USP6 and USP32 regulate distinct subcellular pools of Vangl by removing distinct ubiquitin modifications from Vangl proteins. This regulatory mechanism safeguards PCP‐dependent embryonic morphogenesis, while aberrant USP32‐dependent stabilization of VANGL ...

Transient Sleep Deprivation Induces Persistent Auditory Neuropathy via ROS‐Initiated Neuroinflammation and BK Channel Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sleep disturbance severity closely tracks hearing loss in a clinical cohort, yet the mechanistic link remains unclear. Acute sleep deprivation is shown to trigger transient cochlear oxidative stress that switches into a self‐sustaining neuroinflammatory state, suppressing BK channels and causing irreversible synaptopathy.

A Dual‐Membrane Biomimetic Nanoplatform Enables Triple‐Modal Therapy Against SARS‐CoV‐2 Through Viral Decoy, Inflammation Neutralizing, and Intracellular RNAi

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
[A&T]MLN is a triple‐modal nanoplatform with siRNA‐loaded LN coated with hybrid ACE2/macrophage membrane. It blocks viral entry, neutralizes IL‐6/IL‐1β/TNF‐α, and delivers siRNA to suppress viral replication. In a murine lung injury model, it attenuates inflammation, offering a multi‐pronged strategy against SARS‐CoV‐2 variants and hyperinflammation ...

An Injectable, Self‐Expanding Hemostatic Foam for Field‐Compatible Postpartum Hemorrhage Management

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Postpartum hemorrhage is the leading cause of maternal death worldwide, yet many treatments are hard to use outside well‐equipped hospitals. This work introduces an easy‐to‐use device that rapidly delivers a degradable foam into the uterus. The foam stops bleeding through pressure and clotting support, offering a practical option for low‐resource ...

SAV1 in Cooperation With FKBP52 Participates in Implantation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The MST‐SAV1 complex modulates FKBP52 phosphorylation to fine‐tune PR activity, ensuring timely uterine transition to receptivity under estrogen signaling for implantation. Stromal SAV1 scaffolds MST1/2‐mediated FKBP52 phosphorylation via noncanonical Hippo to promote PR activity.

Prevalence of C-shaped root canals in Iranian population: a systematic review.

open access: yesJournal of dentistry (Tehran, Iran), 2013
Because of the great challenges in the diagnosis and treatment of "C" configuration and lack of any systematic information about its occurrence, the purpose of the present study is to determine the prevalence of C shaped root canals in Iranian population. An exhaustive search was undertaken to identify published and unpublished researches related to the

ROS/pH‐Responsive Phenylboronic Acid–Chitosan Nanoparticles Improve Silymarin‐Mediated Hepatoprotection After Hepatectomy With Gut‐Liver Axis‐Associated Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bioactive phenylboronic acid–chitosan nanoparticles enable responsive silymarin delivery for post‐hepatectomy liver protection. The nanoplatform integrates antioxidant and antibacterial functions, improves hepatic recovery, and is associated with coordinated shifts in gut microbiota, metabolites, cytokines, and hepatic proteomic pathways, suggesting a ...
