Group Classification of C. albicans
Authors have classified C. albicans in three groups by color of slant culture and each group of them in some subgroups by color of colony on BTB-Yeast extract agar. Then, the groups of C. albicans in sputa and feces and the transition among groups in the continuous culture on Sabouraud glucose agar have been investigated.

Candida albicans is an important human fungal pathogen. Our previous study disclosed that aryloxy‐phenylpiperazine skeleton was a promising molecule to suppress C. albicans virulence by inhibiting hypha formation and biofilm formation. In order to deeply

Effect of Piper betle and Brucea javanica on the Differential Expression of Hyphal Wall Protein (HWP1) in Non-Candida albicans Candida (NCAC) Species [PDF]
The study aimed to identify the HWP1 gene in non-Candida albicans Candida species and the differential expression of HWP1 following treatment with Piper betle and Brucea javanica aqueous extracts.

Relevance of Macrophage Extracellular Traps in C. albicans Killing [PDF]
Candida albicans causes systemic life-threatening infections, particularly in immunocompromised individuals, such as patients in intensive care units, patients undergoing chemotherapy, and post-surgical and neutropenic patients. The proliferation of invading Candida cells is mainly limited by the action of the human innate immune system, in which ...

On and Off: Epigenetic Regulation of C. albicans Morphological Switches [PDF]
The human fungal pathogen Candida albicans is a dimorphic opportunistic pathogen that colonises most of the human population without creating any harm. However, this fungus can also cause life-threatening infections in immunocompromised individuals. The ability to successfully colonise different host niches is critical for establishing infections and ...

An experimental study of the infection of oral mucosa in vitro by candida. [PDF]
PhDA sequential study of the invasion of oral mucosa by C. albicans is difficult to accomplish in human beings or in animal models. An in vitro model of oral candidal infection has therefore been established and evaluated by light and electron ...

Functional Characterization of the Small Heat Shock Protein Hsp12p from Candida albicans [PDF]
Hsp12p is considered to be a small heat shock protein and conserved among fungal species. To investigate the expression of this heat shock protein in the fungal pathogen Candida albicans we developed an anti-CaHsp12p antibody.
