Denosumab Offers Relatively Lower Initial Protection Against Osteoporotic Vertebral Fractures in Treatment‐Naive Patients Compared With Zoledronate

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
We compared the initial efficacy of denosumab (Dmab) and zoledronate (ZOL) in treatment‐naive patients with osteoporosis. This cohort study, based on TriNetX data, evaluated the risks of fractures and mortality using Kaplan–Meier survival analyses, with hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs).

Decision-Making Model to Support Agricultural Policies in Realizing Economic and Social Sustainability

open access: yesBusiness Systems Research
Achieving economic and social sustainability is the goal of any policy when defining measures. We focus on the beef sector, where many challenges have arisen due to its structural characteristics, such as an unfavourable scale structure, high costs, low ...

Cauchy Problem for Equations with Fractional Differentiation Bessel Operator in the Space of Temperate Distributions

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2003
The well-posedness of the Cauchy problem, mentioned in title, is studied. The main result means that the solution of this problem is usual C00 - function on the space argument, if the initial function is a real functional on the conjugate space to the ...

Model-independent Constraints on the Weak Phase $\alpha$ (or $\phi_2$) and QCD Penguin Pollution in $B \to \pi\pi$ Decays

open access: yes, 2005
We present an {\it algebraic} isospin approach towards a more straightforward and model-independent determination of the weak phase $\alpha$ (or $\phi_2$) and QCD penguin pollution in $B\to \pi\pi$ decays.

Ag‐Induced Phase and Defect Engineering of Co‐Evaporated Sb2Se3 Thin Films for Enhanced Photovoltaic Performance

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The sequential formation of Ag2Se and AgSbSe2 phases at the Sb2Se3/Mo interface upon Ag incorporation in co‐evaporated Sb2Se3 solar cells promotes grain growth and defect passivation. These newly formed intermediate phases enhance crystallinity and suppress recombination, leading to significant improvements in open‐circuit voltage, fill factor, and ...

An augmentation of the phase space of the system of type A^{(1)}_4

open access: yes, 2004
We investigate the differential system with affine Weyl group symmetry of type A^{(1)}_4 and construct a space which parametrizes all meromorphic solutions of it.

Nonlinear association of triglyceride‐glucose body mass index with all‐cause mortality in postmenopausal women, a retrospective cohort study: Evidence from the 2001 to 2014 National Health and nutrition examination survey

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The triglyceride‐glucose body mass index (TyG‐BMI) is a novel indicator combining an insulin resistance proxy (TyG index) with adiposity. It remains unclear how TyG‐BMI relates to long‐term mortality risk in postmenopausal women, a group prone to metabolic changes after menopause.

On the metric compactification of infinite-dimensional $\ell_{p}$ spaces

open access: yes, 2018
The notion of metric compactification was introduced by Gromov and later rediscovered by Rieffel; and has been mainly studied on proper geodesic metric spaces.

Urban wild meat and pangolin consumption across southern forested Cameroon: The limited influence of COVID‐19

open access: yesPeople and Nature, EarlyView.
Abstract Overexploitation of wildlife is pervasive in many tropical regions, and in addition to being a significant conservation and sustainability concern, it has received global attention given discussions over the origins of zoonotic disease outbreaks.
