A curious source of extended X-ray emission in the outskirts of globular cluster GLIMPSE-C01

open access: yes, 2010
We report the discovery of an unusual source of extended X-ray emission CXOU J184846.3–013040 (‘The Stem’) located on the outskirts of the globular cluster GLIMPSE-C01. No point-like source falls within the extended emission which has an X-ray luminosity

Ventilatory efficiency: Physiological modelling and mechanistic validation

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend From post‐threshold ventilatory linearization to ceiling‐normalized efficiency – conceptual framework underlying ηV̇E$\eta {{\dot{V}}_{\mathrm{E}}}$ Conventional V̇E${{\dot{V}}_{\mathrm{E}}}$–V̇CO2${{\dot{V}}_{{\mathrm{C}}{{{\mathrm{O}}}_2}}}$ slopes are typically derived under submaximal conditions and may become physiologically

Second order classical perturbation theory for atom surface scattering: Analysis of asymmetry in the angular distribution

open access: yes, 2014
10 pags.; 5 figs.A second order classical perturbation theory is developed and applied to elastic atom corrugated surface scattering. The resulting theory accounts for experimentally observed asymmetry in the final angular distributions.

LowCOST‐HSQC Variants for Fast‐Pulsing High ω1‐Resolved 2D Experiments

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Chemistry, Volume 64, Issue 7, Page 655-665, July 2026.
The LowCOST‐HSQC is a sensitivity‐enhanced HSQC version that retains unused proton polarization for subsequent scans in correlations to low natural abundance nuclei like 13C or 15N. Together with fast polarization distribution via isotropic mixing, it allows the acquisition of fast‐pulsing 2D experiments.

The generalized Schrödinger-Langevin equation

open access: yes, 2015
7 pags.In this work, for a Brownian particle interacting with a heat bath, we derive a generalization of the so-called Schrödinger-Langevin or Kostin equation.

Decoding GUN1 in plastid‐to‐nucleus signaling: what it doesn't, what it does, and why it matters

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 251, Issue 1, Page 81-88, July 2026.
Publication history of plant GUN1 research. Summary Plastid‐to‐nucleus retrograde signaling coordinates nuclear gene expression with the developmental and physiological state of plastids. GENOMES UNCOUPLED 1 (GUN1), a chloroplast‐localized PPR‐SMR protein, remains a central yet poorly understood component of this network.

Inflammatory Pseudotumor After Total Hip Arthroplasty‐An Increasingly Recognized Complication

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 18, Issue 7, Page 1311-1327, July 2026.
This review systematically elucidates the clinical characteristics and management of inflammatory pseudotumor (IP) across different bearing surfaces, addressing a topic of increasing concern and providing a novel perspective. It synthesizes the five primary risk factors associated with IP, offering clinicians critical reference points.
